TL;DR
Sr. Specialist/TPM – L1 Test Management (Automotive SDV): Coordinating vehicle-level integration, lab-car readiness, and system validation for next-generation Software Defined Vehicle platforms with an accent on ECU bring-up, diagnostics, release coordination, and validation workflows. Focus on managing software releases, integration branches, issue triage, regression testing, secure flashing, OTA validation, and cross-functional launch readiness.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and occasional travel required.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

  • Lead vehicle-level and lab-car feature integration and readiness activities across Software Defined Vehicle development programs.
  • Coordinate hardware, software, firmware, calibration, network configuration, ECU availability, flashing readiness, and feature maturity.
  • Drive Agile execution through sprint planning, backlog management, dependency tracking, release scheduling, and deployment milestones.
  • Lead issue triage, defect tracking, risk mitigation, release blocker resolution, and engineering change control.
  • Support integration vehicle, bench, and lab-car bring-up, stabilization, regression testing, OTA validation, diagnostics verification, and secure flashing workflows.
  • Maintain integration dashboards, readiness trackers, release metrics, validation KPIs, executive updates, launch readiness reviews, and technical milestone reporting.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture, ECU-level software stacks, embedded systems, automotive communication protocols, and vehicle network tools.
  • Experience with CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, A2B, LVDS, UDS diagnostics under ISO 14229, CANalyzer, and CANoe.
  • Expertise with Jira, GitHub or GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, and ALM/PLM tools such as Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Gen, or PTC Windchill.
  • Experience developing and verifying plant and control models in MATLAB/Simulink for hardware-in-the-loop environments, including dSPACE ControlDesk and AutomationDesk.
  • Ability to work in the Charlotte corporate office 4–5 days per week and travel for company events when required.
