Design Project Manager (Automotive)

Location: Long Beach, California; compensation location: Carson, California. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base pay range: $105,000–$132,000 USD.

What you will do

• Create, review, and update task-based project plans while tracking scope, schedules, budgets, and risks.
• Coordinate stakeholders and team members across Design, Brand, Commercial, Engineering, Manufacturing, and external partners.
• Manage project deliverables, deadlines, dependencies, resources, and requirements.
• Support Design Leadership with physical modeling, surfacing, and asset development activities.
• Organize on-time completion of physical modeling deliverables and support the procurement of tools and materials.
• Produce monthly project reports and dashboards, develop Scope of Work documents, and support process improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional product development environment, ideally an automotive design studio.
• Bachelor’s degree in Design, Engineering, Business, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of project management software such as Microsoft Project or Monday.
• Ability to read technical drawings and models.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States is required.
