TL;DR
General Manager (Robotics): Establishing and scaling Monumental’s US construction-robotics operation from pilot deployments to concurrent commercial deployments with an accent on sales, deployment execution, local team building, and operational infrastructure. Focus on managing robot fleets, setting up US facilities and legal structures, navigating construction regulations, and owning the P&L of the US operation.
Location: Austin, Texas; onsite five days a week. Applicants must be based in the US and eligible to work there, with frequent travel within the US and between the US and the Netherlands. Relocation and visa sponsorship are not supported.

What you will do
- Develop the operating playbook for scaling US construction-robotics deployments from pilots to ongoing commercial projects.
- Act as the initial US Deployment Manager and build the knowledge required to scale multiple concurrent deployments.
- Generate demand through sales, pricing, negotiations, and account management.
- Hire, onboard, and manage the initial US team of robot and deployment operators.
- Manage the US robot fleet and coordinate remote fleet operations with the Netherlands headquarters.
- Establish US facilities, legal entities, employment structures, and regulatory processes.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of experience in an entrepreneurial, high-growth, unstructured environment, such as a startup founder, GM, sales, operations, or business development role.
- Strong bias to action, tenacity, resilience, and an execution-focused approach.
- Proven experience with sales, pricing, negotiations, account management, and P&L ownership.
- Experience hiring and managing teams and establishing organizational culture.
- Excellent communication skills across the construction industry, from developers to construction-site tradespeople.
- Must be based in the US, eligible to work in the US, and willing to travel frequently, including significant time in the Netherlands during the first 3–6 months.
