PCB Designer / Altium Librarian (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; in-person collaboration at the Playa Vista office

Salary: $124,000–$170,500 annual base salary, excluding additional benefits.

What you will do

• Provide schematic capture support and PCB layout for complex multilayer, high-speed, mixed-signal, and power electronics.
• Execute constraint-driven layouts with controlled impedance, differential routing, and power integrity considerations.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineers on design integration.
• Generate and review fabrication and assembly drawings, stackups, design notes, and manufacturing documentation.
• Own the Altium component library, creating and maintaining symbols, footprints, 3D models, approved part links, and library standards.
• Maintain traceability across schematics, layouts, BOMs, and PLM records while supporting DFM/DFA, ECO, NCR, prototype, and release processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of PCB design and layout experience.
• Strong proficiency with Altium Designer and experience managing or contributing to a component library.
• Understanding of multilayer PCB stackups and materials, high-speed design, signal integrity, controlled impedance, power distribution, and grounding.
• Experience working with PCB fabrication and assembly vendors.
• Ability to work in person from the Los Angeles/Playa Vista office.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, space, or other high-reliability industries.
• Familiarity with IPC-2221, IPC-7351, and IPC-A-610 Class 3 standards.
• Experience with Teamcenter or other PLM systems and configuration-management workflows.
• Experience with rigid-flex, HDI, via-in-pad, blind/buried vias, and environmental requirements such as vibration, thermal, and radiation considerations.
