PCB Layout Engineer III (Aerospace)

Location: Hybrid role near Denver, Colorado or Long Beach, California; most work must be performed on site.

Salary: $110,000–$155,000 annually in Denver or $115,000–$160,000 annually in Long Beach, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and lay out 2–32-layer PCBs across varying complexity and density.
• Review schematics and develop layouts for digital, analog, mixed-signal, and power-converter circuits.
• Manage PCB stack-ups and design rules against electrical, thermal, and mechanical requirements.
• Generate fabrication and assembly documentation, including drawings, Gerbers, and BOMs.
• Perform DRC and ERC checks and support DFM reviews with manufacturing partners.
• Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing teams on component libraries, configuration management, and production processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of professional PCB design and layout experience.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer and experience managing shared component libraries with revision control.
• Strong understanding of electronics principles, component functions, and PCB design rules.
• Ability to work independently, own projects, and drive them to completion.
• Must be located near Denver or Long Beach and eligible to meet U.S. ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IPC specifications and their implementation in PCB layout.
• Experience with high-speed digital, RF, and power-electronics layout.
• Familiarity with EMI/EMC, thermal-management techniques, PCB materials, and configuration-management tools.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup or similarly dynamic environment.
