Senior Product Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Base salary: USD 135,000–170,000 per year

What you will do

• Drive silicon qualification and reliability testing for production readiness.
• Release quality test programs for wafer sort and final test solutions.
• Correlate bench characterization results with ATE measurements to improve production screening.
• Partner with OSATs and test vendors to bring up and qualify production test hardware and loadboards.
• Drive DFT and design-for-manufacturing improvements based on production test findings.
• Contribute measured silicon performance data to product specifications, datasheets, and product-level decisions on test coverage, cost, power, and thermal performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in post-silicon product development, product engineering, test engineering, or validation.
• Hands-on experience with ATE platforms and test program updates for wafer sort and final test.
• Strong system-level problem-solving skills involving test hardware, test programs, and DUTs.
• Understanding of digital and analog circuits, ATE yields, test time, device quality, and production test best practices.
• Strong communication, prioritization, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Hands-on product and package qualification experience.
• Knowledge of NRZ/PAM4 SerDes protocols, including PCIe Gen3+, Ethernet 25G+, or LPDDR5/4.
• Experience collaborating with silicon validation teams.
• Firmware development in C or C++ and scripting in Python or equivalent languages.
