Senior Engineer I - Applications (PCIe/USB)

Location: Chandler, Arizona, United States. Travel required 0%–25%.

Annual base salary: $70,000–$205,000, plus restricted stock units and quarterly bonuses.

What you will do

• Develop and support evaluation platform PCBs for PCIe and USB products.
• Support Linux, Windows, RTOS, and MacOS drivers for USB/PCIe-to-Ethernet bridges and PCIe switch products.
• Plan and coordinate driver development and sustaining maintenance across operating systems.
• Create application notes, data sheets, reference designs, and other new-product collateral.
• Develop and present technical training, webinars, and hands-on workshops.
• Provide technical support to sales, field application engineers, and strategic customers while collaborating with Design, Product/Test, and Marketing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent discipline with 5 years of experience.
• Experience with PCIe, Ethernet, high-speed signaling, and communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, and UART.
• Strong knowledge of C/C++, Python, shell scripting, electrical system design, and mixed-signal circuits.
• Basic understanding of embedded software/firmware design and Linux development.
• Strong written communication, analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• Experience with technical training, customer support, high-speed USB/PCIe/Ethernet signals, and electrical circuit or reference design.
• Experience with PCB design software, embedded assembly, Python, microcontroller-based designs, and laboratory equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
