System Safety Compliance Engineer

What you will do

• Embed product safety and compliance principles into system architecture, detailed design, development, verification, and market release.
• Perform risk assessments and safety analyses for complex electromechanical and automated systems.
• Interpret and apply CE, EN, IEC, ISO, and NRTL standards and regulations.
• Provide technical guidance during engineering development, design reviews, and change management.
• Work with external test laboratories, notified bodies, and authorities to obtain approvals and certifications.
• Advise Product Management, Sales, and Operations on safety, regulatory, and global market access matters.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience in product development, system engineering, or safety-critical design within manufacturing, machinery, automation, or industrial equipment.
• At least 3 years of product compliance experience, including CE conformity assessment in the EU.
• Higher education or equivalent experience in electrical/electronics, machinery, software engineering, or a related technical field.
• Solid technical background in electrical, mechanical, systems, or software engineering.
• Experience with risk assessments and safety concept development for complex products.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical engineering solutions.

Nice to have

• Experience with product compliance in markets beyond the EU.
• Experience in global market access for machinery and electrical equipment.
• Familiarity with chemical and material compliance.
