Product Compliance Engineer (Robotics)

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end product safety certification and compliance strategy for humanoid robots and ecosystem products.
• Define certification roadmaps across UL, IEC, ISO, CE, FCC, and related safety standards.
• Lead testing and certification activities as the primary interface with NRTLs, test laboratories, and certification bodies.
• Integrate safety and certification requirements throughout the product development lifecycle, from design to deployment and mass production.
• Lead HARA, FMEA, FTA, and other hazard analysis activities.
• Translate hazards into verifiable safety requirements and collaborate with mechanical, electrical, controls, software, manufacturing, and legal teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of product safety engineering experience in robotics, consumer electronics, automotive, medical devices, industrial automation, or a similar regulated hardware field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience with product safety and functional safety standards.
• Hands-on experience leading UL, IEC, and CE certification programs from design through approval.
• Familiarity with safety certification and compliance for humanoid robots, collaborative robots, ADAS, AMRs, or autonomous systems.
• Ability to collaborate across mechanical, electrical, controls, and software domains.

Nice to have

• Experience leading hazard and risk analyses and converting results into engineering requirements.
• Advanced degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Familiarity with inductive charging and battery safety certification.
