Forward Deployed Agent Engineer (AI)

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

Salary: $100,000–$300,000 annually, with potential variable compensation, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy security-focused AI agents that reason over large datasets and interact with security systems.
• Own customer implementations end to end, including data onboarding, ingestion and transformation pipelines, configuration, workflow design, and feature extensions.
• Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge text, voice, and multimodal AI models into production environments.
• Work directly with customer security teams to adapt agents to their tools, processes, and data sources.
• Identify cross-customer trends and translate field insights into improvements to the core agent platform.
• Debug complex issues across the stack and ensure enterprise-grade reliability and performance.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional software engineering experience, ideally in high-velocity or customer-facing environments.
• Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript, including asynchronous programming and robust data integrations.
• Strong debugging and systems-thinking abilities across multiple layers of a technical stack.
• Excellent communication skills for translating between technical and non-technical contexts.
• Ability to work through ambiguity, take end-to-end ownership, and prioritize customer outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with multimodal AI models, enterprise SaaS, security operations, or behavioral analytics.
• Familiarity with large-scale data ingestion, transformation pipelines, and real-time processing.
