What you will do

• Administer and optimize Azure Government compute, identity, networking, storage, and platform services.
• Design secure Azure environments for HPC clusters, AI workflows, engineering software, and regulated research workloads.
• Integrate and manage Azure CycleCloud Workspace for Slurm to orchestrate and scale HPC workloads.
• Manage Blob/File, NetApp, Managed Lustre, and other storage solutions for performance, cost efficiency, and data retention compliance.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code templates and automation using Bicep, Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, or Python.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve cloud performance, availability, security, and compliance issues while coordinating with Architecture, Security, DevOps, Operations, and Application teams.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on Azure administration experience, including direct experience with Azure Government services and compliance boundaries.
• Experience with Azure HPC, workload integration, storage performance tuning, and cost management.
• Knowledge of identity management, Entra ID/AAD, RBAC, least-privilege access, network segmentation, encryption, monitoring, and compliance controls.
• Strong scripting and automation skills with PowerShell, Python, Ansible, Terraform, or similar tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, documentation, communication, and escalation-management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in regulated industries such as nuclear energy, energy, aerospace, or federal contracting.
• Understanding of ITIL service-management practices.
