Senior Manager, Finance Transformation

Location: Chicago, United States. Hybrid position requiring three days of in-office collaboration per week and two remote days.

Salary: $145,000–$185,000 per year.

What you will do

• Own the finance transformation roadmap and lead scalable improvements across the accounting function.
• Evaluate and roll out close management and automation tools such as FloQast, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Redesign the month-end close process to reduce cycle time, eliminate manual work, and improve data quality.
• Partner with finance systems teams on ERP enhancements, workflow integrations, and data infrastructure improvements using NetSuite and Coupa.
• Lead accounting activities for M&A transactions, including due diligence, purchase price allocation, opening balance sheet review, and post-acquisition accounting.
• Harmonize accounting policies, charts of accounts, and systems across acquired entities while developing a repeatable integration playbook.

Requirements

• CPA certification required.
• 7–10 years of progressive accounting experience, including process improvement, systems implementation, or M&A integration leadership.
• Combined public accounting and industry experience in a high-growth environment.
• Hands-on M&A accounting experience, including purchase price allocation and post-acquisition integration.
• Strong knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition applied to SaaS or multi-element arrangements.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects from scoping through implementation, with strong project management skills.

• Experience in a technology company.
• Experience with close management tools such as FloQast or BlackLine.
• Exposure to international entities and multi-currency consolidations.
• Familiarity with SOX or SOX-adjacent internal controls frameworks.
• Ability to explain complex accounting topics to non-finance audiences and executives.
