Software Engineer (Kotlin)

Location: Hybrid, with two days per week in the office.

Salary: €48,000–€60,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Build and maintain backend platform components powering transaction monitoring solutions and new client products.
• Develop features for complex workflow orchestration and large-scale data migrations.
• Contribute to technical and architectural decisions within a Scrum team and share ideas with colleagues.
• Write tests and take ownership of software quality and production systems.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, data scientists, SREs, product specialists, and other software engineers.

Requirements

• At least three years of experience building production-grade applications with Kotlin or Java.
• Experience with high-scale applications, APIs handling large request volumes, or data processing pipelines.
• Experience with containerisation and cloud infrastructure.
• Ownership of software from initial idea through production.
• Experience with testing, build, and deployment tooling, plus an understanding of logging, monitoring, and alerting.
• Strong communication and writing skills, including technical documentation experience; a relevant degree or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams with ML Engineers, SREs, and Product specialists.
• Experience in an agile environment and with pair programming.
