Software Engineer (C++/Python/Java)

Location: Hybrid in Lexington, Massachusetts; must live within 100 miles and work onsite 2–3 days per week. Candidates must be local when starting the assignment.

What you will do

• Design, develop, integrate, and test complex software systems for advanced communications applications.
• Translate software requirements into design objectives and architectural solutions.
• Implement real-time data processing modules, user interfaces, and integrations with third-party data sources and libraries.
• Develop full-stack video processing applications.
• Perform troubleshooting, bug fixing, software validation, and data analysis.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and provide problem-solving guidance.

Requirements

• Active Secret Clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Experience with C++, Python, Java, Qt, Visual Studio, Git/GitHub, Docker, RabbitMQ, software testing, and software validation.
• Experience with bug fixing, static code analysis, software deployments to operational settings, and Qt-based UI design and implementation.
• At least 5 years of Python experience, 4 years of C++ and Java experience, and relevant experience with the other required technologies.

Nice to have

• Video processing application development, including encoding, decoding, container formats, open-source video libraries, and video analytics.
• Full-stack application development experience.
• Familiarity with Jira.
