Software Engineer (Java/Azure)

Location: 100% remote within the continental United States; standard business hours align with the Eastern Time Zone. Occasional travel to client sites or meetings may be required.

Salary: $115,000–$140,000 USD annually.

What you will do

• Design, develop, enhance, and document secure software systems, web applications, data models, web APIs, and external interfaces.
• Perform requirements analysis, architecture, development, unit and integration testing, troubleshooting, and debugging across the full SDLC.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and system maintenance in the Azure Cloud environment.
• Diagnose server and production issues and implement cybersecurity solutions.
• Collaborate with technical leaders, business stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams using Agile Scrum practices and Atlassian tools.
• Mentor junior software engineers and contribute to technical strategy and architecture standards.

Requirements

• Must reside in the continental United States.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance; United States citizenship is required for eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years of Java development and 2+ years of Azure Cloud experience.
• Experience with JavaScript, React, HTML, CSS, object-oriented programming, Git or Bitbucket, and complex software systems.
• Experience with CI/CD environments, Linux, scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl, and Agile Scrum.

Nice to have

• Experience with Gradle, Ansible, Jenkins, jQuery, and front-end technology.
• Experience designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging web applications.
