TL;DR
Electrical Engineer (Spaceflight Electronics): Designing, laying out, bringing up, and qualifying electronics for optical terminals and space payloads with an accent on board-level design, high-speed mixed-signal systems, and flight hardware. Focus on debugging across electrical, optical, and software boundaries, qualifying components for launch and orbit, and integrating electronics into a Tbps-class laser communication demonstrator.

Location: Culver City, California, United States; onsite. Relocation assistance to Los Angeles is available.

  • Ability to work onsite in Culver City, California.

Nice to have

  • Optical driver electronics, laser diode drivers, TEC controllers, EDFA pump drivers, or photodetector readout design.
  • Multi-GHz signal chains, SerDes, controlled impedance, and signal or power integrity analysis.
  • FPGA development in Verilog or VHDL validated on real hardware.
  • Space-qualified electronics, radiation-tolerant design, EEE parts, derating, and worst-case analysis.
  • Environmental qualification, power architecture, or Python/MATLAB test automation experience.

Culture & Benefits

  • Seed-stage environment with direct ownership of hardware and hands-on bench work.
  • Company stock options are included in compensation for full-time employees.
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance with significant company contribution for employees and dependents.
