Electrical Engineer (Space Communications)

Salary: $100,000–$130,000 per year, depending on level

What you will do

• Drive electrical design for high-speed digital communication systems, including RF and mixed-signal designs in complex multilayer PCBs.
• Work with 100G networking, digital power trees, FPGAs, microcontrollers, data converters, and associated peripherals.
• Lead architecture trades, schematic capture, PCB layout oversight, prototype bring-up, and validation.
• Collaborate with hardware, software, RF, antenna, FPGA, and firmware engineers to optimize system integration.
• Test prototypes in laboratory and field environments and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Partner with production teams to create testable, manufacturable products and support production ramp-up.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 0–4+ years of professional electrical design experience; internships, co-ops, and project experience qualify.
• Must satisfy U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residence, protected individual status, or eligibility to obtain the required authorizations.
• Experience with high-density or high-speed PCB design, schematic capture, signal integrity, and power distribution.
• Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when needed.

Nice to have

• Experience with SerDes, 10/100 GigE networking, JESD204C interfaces, and high-speed data converters.
• Hands-on EMI/EMC troubleshooting, PCB material selection, and board stack-up definition.
• Familiarity with soldering, hot-air rework, and prototype assembly.
• Experience across the full product lifecycle from concept through production ramp-up.
