Senior Electrical Engineer (Space Infrastructure)

Location: Torrance, California, United States. Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements.

Salary: $122,000–$255,000 per year, plus equity, discretionary performance bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Drive electrical design for high-speed digital communication systems, RF and mixed-signal circuits, and complex multilayer PCBs.
• Work with 100G networking, digital power trees, FPGAs, microcontrollers, data converters, and associated peripherals.
• Perform schematic capture, PCB layout, hardware bring-up, prototype testing, and field performance assessment.
• Collaborate with RF, antenna, FPGA, firmware, software, and hardware engineering teams to optimize system performance.
• Develop testable and manufacturable products with production teams for in-house integration.
• Lead hardware development from architecture and prototype bring-up through validation, manufacturing, and production ramp.

Requirements

• 5–7+ years of professional electrical design experience.
• Proficiency in high-density and high-speed design, including FPGAs, SerDes, high-speed data converters, JESD204C, and 10/100 GigE networking.
• Experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, PCB materials, board stack-up definition, and full product lifecycle development.
• Experience troubleshooting conducted or radiated EMI/EMC issues and using soldering and hot-air rework methods.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual, or eligible to obtain required U.S. government authorizations under ITAR.
• Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Nice to have

• Expertise in multi-gigabit SerDes, DDR, JESD204B/C, and 10/100G Ethernet.
• Deep knowledge of signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC mitigation, and high-performance board layout.
• Experience debugging complex hardware with advanced laboratory instrumentation and performing root-cause analysis.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical efforts and mentoring junior engineers.
