Field Application Engineer (Agricultural Robotics)

Location: Robinvale, Australia; substantial travel across Australia, including Robinvale VIC, Griffith NSW, and Maryborough QLD.

What you will do

• Set up, maintain, test, and customize agricultural machinery and autonomy systems according to engineering requirements.
• Execute test plans covering hardware, software, machine vision, and system features.
• Troubleshoot equipment, perform root cause analysis and repairs, and document findings and corrective actions.
• Deploy robots and onboard growers across farms and other field operations.
• Provide on-site engineering support, collect operational data, and diagnose equipment performance.
• Collaborate with customers, account managers, agronomists, product managers, and engineers to improve products and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in engineering, agronomy, or agricultural systems technology.
• At least 3 years of experience supporting or maintaining agricultural electromechanical systems.
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems involving software, electronics, and mechanical components.
• Experience with agricultural or construction equipment and large machinery.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, customer-facing ability, and a team-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel constantly to field locations across Australia and ability to frequently lift or move items over 25 pounds, with occasional lifting over 50 pounds.
