Senior Systems Engineer - Sensor Selection (Autonomous Vehicles)

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Integrate software, hardware, and product requirements across the Next Gen Autonomous Driving Kit 6.0 program.
• Own vehicle- and platform-level systems integration and validation activities.
• Define metrics and verification criteria for system and subsystem requirements.
• Create, maintain, and review technical requirements and specifications for collaboration with OEM partners.
• Identify, negotiate, and resolve cross-functional trade-offs among system architects, controls teams, and OEM platform partners.
• Evaluate automotive and regulatory requirements, perform FMEA analysis, and drive findings to resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering involving software, hardware, or combined hardware/software products.
• Detailed knowledge of requirements management and requirement-based design.
• Experience leading system integration and validation across hardware and software domains.
• Working knowledge of vehicle electrical/electronic architecture and in-vehicle networking.
• Strong knowledge of ADAS and autonomous vehicle systems, with the ability to influence and align cross-functional teams and external partners.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with OEM platform programs or direct OEM partner collaboration.
• Knowledge of LIDAR, radar, Ethernet, and CAN.
• Experience in autonomous vehicles, machine learning, robotics, IoT, or mobile applications.
• Startup experience.
