ADAS Calibration & Validation Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. Hybrid schedule with 4 days per week in the office, one flexible day, regular in-person meetings, and occasional travel.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Execute calibration and validation of Scout ADAS features with cross-functional drive, chassis, and steering teams.
• Coordinate with the Lead ADAS DRE on calibration and validation deliverables, software readiness, feature maturity, and program milestones.
• Develop calibration and validation plans and calibration variants for different vehicles and trim levels.
• Plan ADAS calibration trips, define deliverables, and measure development progress.
• Develop HIL test cases with the virtual testing team to expand virtual validation.
• Track ADAS technology, industry, and regulatory developments to support continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of automotive ADAS feature development or calibration release experience.
• Experience with calibration configuration and release management using tools such as INCA and Creta.
• Familiarity with CAN and Ethernet, plus development and testing tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Ability to analyze complex datasets, identify system root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262, SAE J3016, and FMVSS, with strong communication and multidisciplinary collaboration skills. Must be able to operate a vehicle in the US.
