ADAS System Engineer / FO, Vehicle Parking (ADAS)

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States; four days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and occasional travel.

Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design, calibrate, test, and sign off parking features ranging from parking distance control to advanced automated parking.
• Define system requirements and integrate parking features into Scout’s EV platform with electrical, software, data science, and validation teams.
• Conduct feasibility studies, simulations, and prototyping to evaluate ADAS algorithms and architectures.
• Collaborate with UI/UX specialists to develop customer experiences for parking features.
• Perform system-level testing, validation, verification, real-world testing, and performance data analysis.
• Track ADAS technology, industry, and regulatory developments to improve parking solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in ADAS development, preferably in the automotive industry.
• In-depth knowledge of parking sensors and automated parking features, including perception validation and troubleshooting.
• Experience with calibration, integration, or validation of parking applications and software.
• Familiarity with CAN, LIN, Ethernet, CANoe, CANalyzer, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and independent working skills.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ISO 26262, SAE J3016, and FMVSS.
• Experience with FMEA and FMEDA safety analyses.
• Fluency in German.
