Specialist, Direct Procurement Connectivity (Automotive)

Location: Novi, Michigan, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office. Occasional domestic and international travel is required, and a valid passport with global travel readiness is expected.

Annual base salary: $90,000–$115,000, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead strategic procurement for automotive software, electronic components, and LV/HV wire harness assemblies.
• Conduct cost analyses, implement cost-reduction programs, and support financial optimization.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and pricing, including with monopoly-market suppliers.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Software Development, Quality, and Program Management.
• Support autonomous driving, vehicle connectivity, and emerging automotive technology initiatives.
• Manage supplier performance, assess technical capabilities, and ensure compliance with procurement and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, electronics, software development, or a related technical discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in the automotive or manufacturing sector.
• Experience with procurement, strategic sourcing, or project management for electronic components or software.
• Expertise in software procurement or electronic component sourcing and high-stakes supplier negotiations.
• Fluent English required; additional languages are advantageous.
• Understanding of automotive processes, standards, regulatory considerations, autonomous driving, and connected vehicle systems.
