Finance Shared Service Specialist

Location: Bogota, Colombia; hybrid work model

What you will do

• Post journal entries provided by local finance teams.
• Execute month-end closing activities covering accruals, revenue recognition, fixed assets, and intercompany processes.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, investigate open items, analyze financial information, and verify transaction accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, internal policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with Local Finance, AR, AP, and Consolidation teams to optimize processes and strengthen controls.
• Support internal and external audits, process improvement initiatives, SSC projects, and documentation maintenance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in General Accounting, ideally in a Shared Services Center.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and Record-to-Report processes.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, or similar, plus advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Intermediate English level or above, spoken and written. Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members is required.
