Accounting Manager (GAAP, Multi-Entity Accounting & QuickBooks)

Location: Remote from Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, or Costa Rica; U.S. business hours required

hirify.global is recruiting for a client seeking an accounting professional to own multi-entity accounting operations.

What you will do

• Execute timely month-end closes and prepare GAAP-compliant financial statements, supporting schedules, workpapers, and custom reports.
• Maintain general ledgers across multiple entities or locations, including accruals, reconciliations, journal entries, and account classifications.
• Manage AP and AR operations, vendor payments, receivables, documentation, and financial controls.
• Process payroll and maintain employee records using Gusto or a similar payroll platform.
• Calculate and file U.S. state sales tax obligations and maintain compliance documentation.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, process documentation, and scalable accounting system improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional accounting or finance experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with accrual accounting, U.S. GAAP, multi-entity accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, AP, AR, and reconciliations.
• Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Desktop, or Enterprise.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, and Pivot Tables.
• Hands-on payroll experience with Gusto or a similar system, plus experience calculating and filing U.S. state sales tax.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills and availability during U.S. business hours; remote work is limited to Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, or Costa Rica.

Nice to have

• Experience with NetSuite, ADP, Paylocity, Bill.com, Ramp, or Clockify.
• Experience with outsourced accounting or bookkeeping firms and supporting multiple clients simultaneously.
• Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, accounting SOPs, and financial controls.
