Senior Principal Product Manager - COSMOS

Location: San Jose, California, United States

Salary: $195,000–$250,000 annually, depending on experience, level, and business need. Additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and benefits may apply.

What you will do

• Define and own the end-to-end COSMOS product roadmap across embedded software, firmware interfaces, host drivers, and server-level management tools.
• Standardize firmware APIs, host software interfaces, and management paradigms across Astera connectivity products.
• Engage hyperscaler and enterprise platform teams to gather requirements, validate priorities, support evaluations, and drive design wins.
• Collaborate with firmware, embedded software, host driver, hardware architecture, sales, field applications, and marketing teams.
• Define adoption metrics, customer integration indicators, and firmware/software quality KPIs while coordinating releases across multiple workstreams.
• Represent hirify.global at industry events, standards bodies, and customer technical reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 12+ years of experience in product management, technical marketing, firmware engineering, or systems engineering within semiconductor or data center infrastructure.
• Experience managing or defining software products that run on and directly communicate with silicon, including embedded software, firmware, or chip-level tools.
• Strong understanding of the interaction between host software, drivers, operating-system tools, firmware, and embedded software running on chips.
• Deep familiarity with data center server architectures, BIOS/UEFI, BMC, and infrastructure management frameworks.
• Experience working directly with hyperscaler or enterprise platform and firmware teams on technical requirements.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in firmware development, embedded software, or chip bring-up.
• Experience with PCIe, CXL, Ethernet, Redfish, MCTP, PLDM, or in-band and out-of-band management interfaces.
• Understanding of 800G/1.6T Ethernet, retimer and switch architectures, or rack-scale AI cluster topologies.
• Experience shipping embedded software and firmware tied to connectivity or infrastructure silicon.
• Experience scaling product processes in a high-growth startup environment and a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
