Product Management Director, Consumer Devices

Location: On-site at hirify.global headquarters in San Jose, California, United States. Travel may be required to contract manufacturers, partners, or customer research sites.

Salary: $198,000–$234,000 per year, plus equity and bonus opportunities.

What you will do

• Own the full product lifecycle for connected consumer hardware and complementary embedded applications, from ideation and validation through launch and iteration.
• Define product vision, strategy, customer experience, roadmap, requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Partner with hardware and software engineering, UX, industrial design, marketing, manufacturing, distribution, sales, and support teams.
• Drive product-market fit, feature prioritization, go-to-market readiness, and technical trade-off decisions.
• Define and monitor NPS, device activation, feature adoption, network performance, OKRs, and KPIs to guide decisions.
• Present roadmaps and results to executives while coaching and mentoring product managers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of product management experience in consumer hardware, networking devices, or smart home categories.
• Track record of shipping technically complex physical products with strong user experience requirements.
• Ability to write PRDs, user stories, MRDs, and business cases.
• Technical literacy in WiFi, Bluetooth, wireless technologies, and embedded software.
• Experience using AI tools for research, writing, prototyping, analytics, and monitoring.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, influence, data analysis, and decision-making skills in ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience at a leading consumer device company.
• Background in electrical engineering, embedded systems, or UX design for device ecosystems.
• MBA or advanced technical degree.
