Journeyman, Electrician

Location: Dalton, Georgia, United States; full-time onsite position. Minimal travel between data centers may be required. Some nights and weekends may be required.

What you will do

• Diagnose, maintain, repair, and test electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures, circuit breakers, transformers, and related components.
• Perform preventive maintenance on lighting, battery backups, inverters, generators, substations, and security gates.
• Support rack moves, deployments, decommissioning, and urgent data center floor issues, including cooling-related problems.
• Plan and lay out wiring, conduit, and fixtures using blueprints, schematics, job specifications, and applicable electrical codes.
• Inspect systems for hazards and defects, troubleshoot faults, and perform corrective maintenance using electrical testing devices.
• Coordinate team scheduling, requisition materials, maintain spill prevention kits, and communicate with facilities staff and leaders.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in the electrical trade.
• Formal vocational training in the fundamentals of electrical work.
• Required unlimited electrical or contractor's license and valid driver's license.
• Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, ladders, power tools, and standard electrical testing equipment.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of email and Microsoft Office, with strong attention to detail and professional communication.

• Prior military or technical school training.
