Manufacturing Engineer Intern (Composites)

Location: Huntington Beach, California, United States; on-site

Salary: $25–$32 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Design molds and tools for customer parts and create thorough manufacturing documentation.
• Generate ply kits from customer designs and program projection systems.
• Support customer production cost-reduction and design-for-manufacturability initiatives.
• Work hands-on with production to identify issues and bottlenecks.
• Develop scalable improvements that make production work more efficient.

Requirements

• Be pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.
• Have some experience or academic, hobby, or work background in composites manufacturing.
• Be proficient in a professional CAD suite such as NX, SolidWorks, or CATIA.
• Be comfortable creating professional drawings for manufacturing.
• U.S. Person status is required to access export-controlled data.

Nice to have

• Understanding of composites lamination, machining, and 3D printing.
• Experience with vacuum infusion, compression molding, trapped rubber molding, or wet layup.
