Industrial Designer, Professional II (AI)

Location: Hybrid role required to be onsite at the Holtsville, New York office at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $76,640–$114,960 annual, plus a target performance-based cash incentive equal to 10% of base pay.

What you will do

• Collaborate with senior design leads and product development teams to visualize, prototype, validate, and communicate design direction.
• Contribute to the full industrial design process, from customer research and concept development through validation and production execution.
• Create design concept proposals and presentations for stakeholder alignment and decision-making.
• Build conceptual and production 3D CAD models and carry the design vision through manufacturing.
• Work with engineering teams and JDM manufacturing partners to resolve technical, material, and production requirements.
• Create and maintain CMF documentation and use AI-driven generative design and computational tools for ideation and optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of professional industrial design experience, preferably involving handheld, wearable, or tablet products and major national or international brands.
• Strong product design, conceptualization, sketching, ideation, form, proportion, and detail development skills.
• Proficiency in building 3D CAD models; experience with NURBS-based surfacing tools such as Autodesk Alias is preferred.
• Experience with engineering software such as Pro/ENGINEER, Creo, or SolidWorks, plus strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Holtsville, New York at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience with handheld, wearable, or tablet product development.
• Expert Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and KeyShot rendering skills.
• Experience using modern AI tools such as Midjourney, Vizcom, Veo, or Firefly for ideation, rendering, and rapid prototyping.
