Senior Product Engineer (Additive Manufacturing) - Industrials

Location: Newburyport, Massachusetts, United States; additional travel may be required to the Devens, Massachusetts facility.

Annual base salary: $106,500–$146,400, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and direct manufacturing processes that translate customer designs into repeatable production processes.
• Evaluate customer designs and provide Design for Additive Manufacturing feedback.
• Own print setup and printing process development, including materials properties, simulation analysis, layout optimization, support structures, and stock additions.
• Develop manufacturing specifications, solid models, drawings, work instructions, and process-related quality documentation.
• Partner with product and quality teams on technical requirements, cost estimation, risk assessment, inspection techniques, and production readiness.
• Troubleshoot printing processes and drive continuous improvement for products in production.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on product or applications development experience in LPBF or similar additive manufacturing technology.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Expert proficiency in advanced 3D CAD and build-preparation tools such as Siemens NX, Creo, SolidWorks, Magics, nTopology, or Amphyon.
• Deep knowledge of GD&T, statistical process capability, tolerance stack-up analysis, and complex DFM/DfAM constraints.
• Experience using ERP systems in batch manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of subtractive manufacturing, including 5-axis milling, turning, and EDM, and its integration with additive workflows preferred.
