Senior Mechanical Engineer (Additive Manufacturing)

Salary: $145,000–$170,000 per year

What you will do

• Research, develop, and design mechanical, electromechanical, and pneumatic prototypes, systems, and subsystems for capital equipment.
• Perform GD&T analysis at the system and subsystem levels.
• Integrate, validate, troubleshoot, and test equipment, components, and systems.
• Drive continuous improvements in system performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
• Create complete design documentation, including bills of materials, drawings, and procedures.
• Manage small to mid-sized projects from concept through production and collaborate with Hardware, Software, and Process teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• 6+ years of mechanical systems design and development experience.
• 6+ years of CAD experience, preferably with SolidWorks.
• 6+ years designing manufacturing systems for industrial capital equipment, such as additive manufacturing, semiconductor, robotics, CNC, solar, or biomedical equipment.
• Experience with GD&T, detailed quality drawing documentation, thermal analysis, FEA, CFD, and simulation software.
• Ability to work hands-on, independently, and collaboratively on complex mechanical systems in a high-paced, results-oriented environment.
