Sr. Project Manager - Spend Optimization Services

Location: Austin, TX or Somerset, NJ, USA; frequent domestic and international travel required at 30–50%.

Salary: $125,000–$165,000 annual base salary, depending on knowledge, skills, experience, and market location.

What you will do

• Lead complex, high-visibility customer engagements and strategic internal initiatives from initiation through closure.
• Define project strategy, delivery approaches, governance structures, milestones, dependencies, communication plans, and success criteria.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and manage risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
• Provide executive-level project updates and serve as the primary delivery owner and escalation point.
• Assess project health and lead corrective action and recovery plans for at-risk engagements.
• Mentor project managers and coordinators while improving PMO governance, delivery standards, and continuous improvement practices.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of IT project management experience, including experience in professional services, consulting, ITAM, SAM, software licensing, or IT service delivery.
• Demonstrated success leading enterprise-scale or high-visibility customer engagements and working with senior stakeholders and executive-level customers.
• Strong capabilities in project planning, scheduling, reporting, RAID management, escalation management, decision tracking, and project health assessment.
• Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft 365, and collaboration platforms.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30–50%; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is preferred.

Nice to have

• French or another second-language communication skill.
• PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, PMI-ACP, CSM, ITIL, or equivalent project management or service delivery certification.
