Mobile Engineer (React Native)

Location: Hybrid in Ghent, Belgium

hirify.global is a SaaS scale-up developing a Transport Management Platform that automates logistics administration, optimizes planning, and improves efficiency and sustainability.

What you will do

• Build and evolve cross-platform iOS and Android features in the React Native and Expo codebase.
• Develop mobile workflows for stop completion, document capture, delivery status updates, and cross-dock pallet scanning.
• Work with TypeScript, GraphQL, Hasura, Firebase, and Firestore to support API-driven and real-time data flows.
• Improve app performance, reliability, and offline resilience for drivers and warehouse operators working in the field.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and other frontend engineers to solve logistics challenges.
• Contribute to mobile architecture and product direction with a high degree of ownership.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in mobile development.
• Hands-on experience with React Native and Expo, including production app releases to the App Store and Google Play.
• Strong TypeScript skills and understanding of component-based architecture and state management.
• Familiarity with GraphQL and API-driven mobile applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, pragmatic technical judgment, user focus, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Mobile-first design experience.
• Experience with Firebase or Firestore for real-time data.
• Familiarity with offline-first mobile patterns.
• Experience in a fast-paced scale-up or product company.
