Senior Software Engineer (iOS) – Digital Products (Automotive)

Location: Based at the hirify.global location in Fremont, California, with occasional office attendance, regular in-person meetings, events, and periodic travel.

Salary: $140,000–$170,000 annual base salary; California base salary range: $154,000–$187,000. Eligible for an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Design, develop, maintain, and release robust, scalable iOS applications for connected vehicle experiences.
• Own complex mobile features from concept through production, including vehicle connectivity, mapping and navigation, EV charging, and vehicle purchasing journeys.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and cross-functional partners on end-to-end customer experiences.
• Drive technical excellence through code reviews, architecture discussions, engineering best practices, and performance improvements.
• Develop unit, integration, regression, and other automated testing strategies to ensure application quality and stability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues, improve developer productivity, evaluate emerging iOS technologies, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience shipping customer-facing iOS applications.
• Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI.
• Understanding of mobile platform architecture, UI/UX principles, GraphQL, mobile security, and performance optimization.
• Experience with Git, mobile CI/CD pipelines, and mobile release processes.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, prioritization, and stakeholder-management skills, including experience launching 0-to-1 products in startup settings.

Nice to have

• Automotive industry or IoT device experience.
• Experience with mobile testing, experimentation, and automation frameworks.
• Experience with large-scale cloud systems such as AWS.
