Technology Sourcing and Procurement Manager

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States; hybrid work schedule

Annual base salary: $123,500–$167,100, plus potential discretionary bonus and, for certain roles, discretionary stock awards.

What you will do

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing strategies for IT equipment, software, SaaS, cloud infrastructure, and technology services.
• Lead competitive bidding initiatives, including spend analysis, internal assessments, RFP development, proposal evaluation, and supplier negotiations.
• Negotiate complex commercial terms for enterprise software agreements and other technology categories.
• Analyze total cost of ownership, benchmark market pricing, and identify cost-saving and value-capture opportunities.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, risk, technology, and other stakeholders to align procurement with business and technical requirements.
• Manage supplier performance reviews, procurement documentation, policies, procedures, and key spend metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience leading strategic sourcing and contracting initiatives across multiple spend categories.
• At least 5 years of experience in technology sourcing and procurement, ideally in a technology-driven environment.
• At least 2 years of experience leading complex sourcing and contracting initiatives for enterprise software agreements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and prioritization skills.
• Experience with procurement and contract management systems such as Oracle, Workday, Zycus, or SAP, plus proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
