Strategic Sourcing Specialist (IT and Technology Categories)

Location: Onsite at the hirify.global Milpitas Office in Milpitas, California, or the hirify.global Irvine Office in Irvine, California

Salary: $92,200–$156,800 per year

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives for engineering lab and test equipment, IT hardware, enterprise software, SaaS, cloud services, information security solutions, and professional services.
• Develop sourcing strategies, RFQs, RFIs, RFPs, market assessments, supplier evaluations, and benchmarking analyses.
• Negotiate supplier contracts and commercial terms covering service levels, deliverables, licensing, confidentiality, intellectual property, warranties, indemnification, and termination rights.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, onboarding, continuous improvement, and risk mitigation.
• Deliver cost savings and cost avoidance through pricing analysis, financial modeling, total-cost-of-ownership analysis, and business cases.
• Partner with Engineering, IT, Information Security, Finance, Legal, Operations, and business leaders on technology deployments, cloud migrations, cybersecurity initiatives, prototype builds, and laboratory expansions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, category management, supply chain, or supplier management.
• Experience independently managing sourcing projects, supplier evaluations, negotiations, and contract execution.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, financial modeling, cost analysis, supplier management, and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience working with global stakeholders and suppliers across multiple regions and time zones.
• Experience with procurement and ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Ariba, or similar tools, plus analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Excel.

Nice to have

• MBA or master’s degree in business, supply chain, engineering, information systems, or a related discipline.
• CPSM, CSCP, CPM, PMP, or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience in semiconductor, electronics, engineering, manufacturing, high-tech, or product development environments.
• Experience with new product introduction, new technology development, engineering equipment, IT infrastructure, cloud services, or cybersecurity technologies.
