Sr. CAD Modeler & Visualization Specialist (Aerospace)

Location: Hawthorne, California, United States. Workplace type: Onsite.

Salary: $140,000–$160,000 per year.

What you will do

• Create high-quality, production-ready Class A surfaces in Alias from design concepts and engineering data.
• Translate and optimize complex, constraint-heavy CAD geometry for visualization and design iteration.
• Refine hardware forms with the Industrial Designer and Chief Creative Director while meeting aesthetic and structural requirements.
• Produce photorealistic KeyShot renders and maintain a visual asset library for investor decks, social media, press releases, and the website.
• Composite renders into lunar environments using Adobe Creative Suite with accurate lighting, scale, and context.
• Coordinate with engineering and marketing to ensure visual assets reflect current vehicle designs and support launches and announcements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial design, transportation design, digital arts, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
• Experience using KeyShot for photorealistic rendering and lighting setup.
• Experience using Alias for Class A surfacing and complex geometry.
• Experience with engineering constraints and CAD files generated in SolidWorks or CATIA.
• Experience managing multiple rendering projects and delivering assets within established deadlines.

Nice to have

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator, for compositing and post-production.
• Background in transportation, robotics, automotive, aerospace, or a related industry.
• Experience in a studio environment or with marketing and communications teams.
• Experience with lighting, material textures, CMF, and environmental rendering.
