Director of Data Center Market Development (Data Center Infrastructure)

Location: Remote from select U.S. locations only, with frequent travel to the Bellevue, Washington office; 30–50% travel required.

Salary: $196,537–$294,806 per year; the listed range is specific to Washington State.

What you will do

• Develop and execute go-to-market and multi-year growth strategies for hyperscale, AI, cloud, colocation, enterprise, and other data center markets.
• Identify, qualify, negotiate, and close high-value strategic opportunities, partnerships, joint ventures, and long-term supply agreements.
• Build executive-level relationships with hyperscalers, cloud providers, data center developers, utilities, regulators, and infrastructure partners.
• Lead market analysis, competitive intelligence, industry trend forecasting, and data center sector intelligence efforts.
• Lead complex RFP/RFQ responses, business cases, commercial evaluations, and negotiations.
• Build and retain a team focused on data center market development and represent hirify.global at industry forums.

Requirements

• 10+ years of business development, strategy, or sales leadership experience in data center infrastructure, cloud, or colocation.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, business, or a related field.
• Technical expertise in energy and sustainability solutions for digital infrastructure, including power, cooling, racks, or modular solutions.
• Success structuring complex multi-party agreements and closing multi-million-dollar strategic deals through implementation.
• Strong understanding of data center economics, AI-driven infrastructure growth, sustainability, and ESG trends.
• Strong financial modeling, commercial evaluation, executive communication, negotiation, and regulatory or policy experience.
