What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for wastewater treatment process design, optimization, troubleshooting, and facility improvement.
• Develop and review engineering designs, reports, technical documents, and system procedures.
• Lead regulatory compliance activities covering local, state, and federal environmental standards.
• Evaluate biological, chemical, and physical treatment technologies and recommend advanced solutions.
• Support project planning, financial development, feasibility assessments, client meetings, site visits, inspections, and stakeholder presentations.
• Mentor junior engineers and technical staff while monitoring industry trends and regulatory changes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, or Civil Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree or Ph.D. is preferred.
• 12–15 years of hands-on wastewater treatment experience with expertise in process design, plant operation, and/or consulting.
• In-depth knowledge of conventional and advanced wastewater treatment technologies, modeling software, and SCADA systems.
• Knowledge of US and Mexican safety and environmental standards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, leadership, mentoring, and project management skills.
• Passport and ability to travel throughout the US and Mexico are required; extended travel may be necessary.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Wastewater operator certifications.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
