Water and Wastewater Infrastructure Manager

Salary: $201,000 – $255,000 per year plus equity

What you will do

• Own water and wastewater infrastructure strategy across hirify.global's data center portfolio from site assessment through construction.
• Assess water supply risk and feasibility before lease commitments to avoid build delays.
• Negotiate water supply and wastewater agreements with local authorities and utilities across US markets.
• Ensure compliance with water withdrawal limits, permits, and agreements by tracking data and catching anomalies.
• Coordinate water-related workstreams across Development, Engineering, Design, Construction, and Operations to keep projects on schedule.

Requirements

• Must have experience owning water and wastewater infrastructure for industrial or data center projects across multiple sites.
• Proven negotiation skills with local utilities and authorities on complex water supply agreements.
• Knowledge of US water policy, legal rights, and regulatory changes affecting active markets.
• Experience with NPDES permits, industrial pre-treatment permits, or decentralized wastewater systems in the US.
• Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage water issues end-to-end.
• Strong written communication skills for external narratives and commercial negotiations.

Nice to have

• Civil or environmental engineering background.
• Experience with data center water or cooling infrastructure.
• Knowledge of water recycling, zero liquid discharge, or water efficiency systems.
• Multi-state water permitting track record.
