Field Service Engineer (Pathology)

Location: Must reside within 60 miles of Baton Rouge or New Orleans, Louisiana; supports a multistate territory covering Louisiana and Mississippi with travel throughout the U.S. Remote work is available, with up to 50% or more travel and on-site customer service required.

Salary: $34.00–$53.13 per hour, plus eligibility for bonus, stock, and benefits.

What you will do

• Install, implement, maintain, upgrade, and repair hirify.global and third-party laboratory systems.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking products, operating systems, system configurations, and performance issues.
• Deliver preventive maintenance and emergency repairs while responding to service requests and communicating with customers.
• Advise customers on maintenance and configuration best practices and provide equipment training to customers and fellow engineers.
• Collaborate with managers, sales teams, product specialists, manufacturing teams, and OEM vendors.
• Document service activities, time, and expenses in SAP and support complaint handling and quality systems.

Requirements

• Military training, an associate degree, or relevant college coursework in electronics or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in a similar role or as an end user of clinical or analytical instrumentation in regulated laboratory environments.
• Hands-on experience with instrumentation maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems, Excel pivot tables, and online training modules.
• Must meet hirify.global-approved customer and vendor credentialing requirements, including identification, certifications, and health and safety compliance as applicable.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related science field.
• Familiarity with hirify.global automated biopsy tissue stainers.
• Relevant military experience, including the listed MOS/AFSC backgrounds.
