Periodic travel to Eastern Canada and other eastern sub-regions may be required. The role includes overnight travel as needed and remote technical troubleshooting from home when not traveling. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and hold a valid U.S. passport for potential travel to Canada.

Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annualized base salary; paid hourly and eligible for overtime.

What you will do

  • Train alongside Field Service Engineers during customer-site installations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Assist with diagnosing technical issues involving flow cytometry instrumentation.
  • Develop working knowledge of flow cytometry systems, including optics, fluidics, electronics, and pneumatics.
  • Follow service procedures, safety standards, technical memos, and documentation requirements, including Salesforce and Field Service Reports.
  • Communicate product quality observations and service concerns while collaborating with Field Service, Sales, and Field Applications teams.
  • Maintain service parts and inventory, complete expense reports, submit weekly timesheets, and support customer satisfaction through timely follow-up.

Requirements

  • Recent college graduate within the past 6 months.
  • Two-year Associate degree or preferably a four-year Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical discipline.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, customer service, organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Basic computer skills, including typing, email, and basic software use.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • U.S. work authorization and a valid U.S. passport for potential travel to Canada.

Nice to have

  • Basic understanding of flow cytometry or related scientific disciplines.
  • Interest in field service, laboratory instrumentation, medical devices, biotechnology, or life science equipment.
