What you will do

  • Define and implement diagnostics architecture across powertrain, energy, ADAS, chassis, body, infotainment, and other vehicle domains.
  • Own end-to-end validation, release sign-off, and production-readiness assessment for vehicle diagnostic systems before Start of Production.
  • Establish ECU diagnostic acceptance criteria and validate fault handling, service, manufacturing, and vehicle-level diagnostic flows.
  • Execute validation across software-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop, and vehicle integration environments; develop scalable regression test suites.
  • Debug CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet issues, including bus saturation, timing drift, signal loss, gateway failures, and cross-ECU integration problems.
  • Coordinate integration across electrification, body and comfort, ADAS, infotainment, connectivity, central compute, and zonal controller systems.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related field, with 10+ years of experience.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architecture, ECU software stacks, CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet, UDS diagnostics, and diagnostic communication tools.
  • Experience developing and verifying plant and control models in MATLAB/Simulink for hardware-in-the-loop environments, including dSPACE ControlDesk and AutomationDesk.
  • Expertise with Jira, GitHub or GitLab, Jenkins, Artifactory, and ALM/PLM tools such as Siemens Polarion, IBM DOORS Next Generation, or PTC Windchill.
  • Familiarity with embedded software, A2B, LVDS, vehicle network tools such as CANalyzer and CANoe, system requirements, and automotive development processes.
  • Ability to work onsite in Charlotte 4–5 days per week and travel for company events and integration activities.

Culture & Benefits

  • Opportunity to build electric vehicles and a new automotive company from the ground up.
  • Medical, dental, vision, and income protection insurance plans.
