Forward Deployed Engineer (Robotics Manufacturing)

Location: Dayton, Ohio; on-site. Several months of training at hirify.global headquarters in California are required before transitioning to a long-term customer-site deployment. Travel of up to 10% is expected.

hirify.global develops RoboCraftsman robotic manufacturing systems and the RoboForming process for real-world industrial production.

What you will do

• Lead technical execution and support deployment of RoboCraftsman cells at customer manufacturing sites.
• Analyze and modify CAD models, convert them into toolpaths, and support CNC and automated manufacturing workflows.
• Analyze RoboForming process data and 3D scan results to assess part quality and identify improvements.
• Design and execute structured experiments to optimize forming parameters and toolpath strategies.
• Operate and maintain production cells, troubleshoot hardware and software, and validate upgrades before deployment.
• Act as the primary technical interface between customers and Product, Hardware, Software, Manufacturing Engineering, and Robotic Process Engineering teams.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, robotics, automation, prototyping, or related engineering environments.
• Proficiency with CAD software and familiarity with CAM workflows, toolpath generation, CNC programming, robotics, or automated manufacturing systems.
• Experience implementing manufacturing process improvements, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing, machine shop, prototyping, or production environments.
• Prior customer-facing technical experience and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with industrial robotics platforms such as FANUC, KUKA, or ABB.
• Experience with metrology, 3D scanning, or inspection systems.
• Knowledge of GD&T and precision measurement principles.
