Company

hirify.global develops autonomous spacecraft, advanced payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors for space security.

What you will do

  • Design spacecraft assembly, integration, test, and handling tooling, including fixtures, lifting systems, transportation containers, STE/ATP fixtures, and cleanroom tooling.
  • Create production-level 3D CAD models and 2D drawings in CREO, NX, CATIA V5, or equivalent, and manage configurations in Windchill or Teamcenter.
  • Apply GD&T and perform tolerance and stack-up analyses for tooling designs.
  • Coordinate vendors through fabrication, design reviews, build monitoring, inspection, and acceptance.
  • Develop cleanroom tooling protocols, work instructions, lift plans, BOMs, and manufacturing routers for spacecraft assembly.
  • Provide DFM/DFMA input, support tooling anomaly root-cause analysis and CAPA, and mentor entry-level engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related STEM field.
  • 2–7 years of experience designing tooling, fixtures, or MGSE in aerospace or defense manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD and PLM/PDM systems such as CREO, NX, Windchill, or Teamcenter.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T, ASME Y14.5, and tolerance and stack-up analysis.
  • Experience taking tool designs through fabrication, vendor oversight, and acceptance.
  • U.S. citizenship or equivalent ITAR eligibility required; ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.

Nice to have

  • Spacecraft, satellite, launch vehicle, or cleanroom AI&T tooling experience.
  • Experience with below-the-hook devices, spreader bars, optical instrument fixtures, or gravity offload systems.
  • Experience designing welded structural tooling, integration stands, and handling fixture bases.
  • Structural analysis experience with ANSYS Workbench, FEMAP, or NASTRAN.
  • Active Secret or TS/SCI clearance and familiarity with NASA, MIL-STD, AWS, and ASME standards.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work on spacecraft, payloads, mission software, and space-based interceptors for space superiority.
  • Health, dental, vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO, and paid holidays.
  • 401(k), parental leave, and equity participation.
  • Onsite work environment near Denver or Long Beach.
