Mechanical Design Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Must be based in San Francisco (Onsite 5 days/week)

Compensation: $90,000 – $175,000

What you will do

• Design mechanical systems and aircraft structures from concept through production and flight test.
• Develop and maintain the aircraft mass properties model, tracking weight, center of gravity, and inertia.
• Build automation between NX, Teamcenter, and analysis tools using Python and NX Open.
• Own engineering design libraries, including standard materials and reusable design elements.
• Collaborate with structures, manufacturing, and flight sciences to evaluate design trades.
• Continuously improve engineering workflows and digital engineering capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 2–7 years of experience designing aerospace or highly engineered mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with NX/Teamcenter or comparable CAD/PLM systems.
• Experience developing CAD automation using Python or similar scripting tools.
• Strong understanding of aircraft mass properties and mechanical design principles.
• Must be able to work onsite in San Francisco five days a week.
