Investment Operations Associate (Fintech)

Location: NYC office, on-site in Manhattan

Salary: $120,000–$140,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Review account restrictions, trading permissions, custodian data feeds, and issues affecting trade execution.
• Investigate, document, coordinate, and resolve trade errors with custodians and internal stakeholders.
• Enable options trading and margin permissions across custodian accounts, managing approvals and documentation.
• Coordinate custodian setup and operational onboarding for SMAs, specialized strategies, and alternative investments.
• Conduct audits of billing, trade execution, SWIM enrollment, model mapping, and account configuration.
• Maintain operational records and improve internal automation tools as workflows scale.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in investment operations, brokerage operations, wealth management, or a related environment.
• Experience supporting traders, portfolio managers, or a centralized investment platform.
• Strong understanding of trade processing, settlement, reconciliation, and operational controls.
• Experience with Charles Schwab, Fidelity, or similar custodians, including account setup and approval workflows.
• Ability to manage recurring, detail-oriented workflows accurately and independently.
• Enthusiasm for using AI and automation to improve operational workflows.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting an RIA, asset manager, or centralized trading team.
• Working knowledge of Orion Eclipse or a comparable order management system.
• Experience improving operational processes and controls.
• Familiarity with SMA onboarding, iCapital or CAIS, and options or margin account setup.
