Senior Solutions Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Bay Area / San Jose, California — remote, field-based, with expectations to visit and work from the San Jose or San Francisco HQ when not in the field. Travel up to 50%+ across the United States.

What you will do

• Own the full pre-sales technical motion for enterprise opportunities, partnering with the Account Executive from the first call through signed agreement.
• Design and execute structured, outcome-driven proofs of value, including API connections, firewall rules, live data-feed troubleshooting, and other hands-on integration work.
• Lead technical discovery into customer environments, threat models, vulnerability-management practices, and existing security stacks.
• Present and demonstrate the platform to security architects, SOC leaders, CISOs, and executive audiences.
• Build trusted-advisor relationships with Global 2000 and Fortune 500 security teams and represent hirify.global at industry events and customer briefings.
• Bring customer and field intelligence to Product and Engineering while helping shape the growing Solutions Engineering function.

Requirements

• 7+ years of enterprise security experience in solutions engineering, systems engineering, or pre-sales.
• Broad enterprise security expertise across vulnerability management, cloud/CNAPP, EDR, SIEM, and CMDB/ITSM platforms, including Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7, Wiz, Prisma Cloud, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender, Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, and ServiceNow.
• Hands-on AppSec experience with SCA/SAST tooling, CI/CD pipeline integration, vulnerability reachability, and exploitability.
• Ability to explain AI-native agentic architecture, autonomous-remediation trust models, read-only controls, and agent-based analysis to technical buyers.
• Proven experience running POVs and selling to Global 2000 or Fortune 500 accounts with 10,000+ employees, plus strong knowledge of CVSS, EPSS, KEV, and compensating controls.
• Deep experience covering the Bay Area with established relationships in the territory; willingness to travel up to 50%+.

Nice to have

• Background in detection and response, vulnerability management, exposure management, application security, security operations, or asset intelligence.
• Experience with MEDDICC/MEDDPICC, Force Management, Challenger, or a similar enterprise sales methodology.
• Experience enabling channel or reseller partners and building POV frameworks or Solutions Engineering playbooks.
