Senior Customs Clearance Manager (International Logistics)

Location: US - Remote; quarterly travel is required, and candidates living within a 1-hour commuting distance of a hirify.global office may be required to work onsite most of the time.

Salary: $117,949–$191,490 per year, with potential eligibility for bonuses, commissions, or other compensation.

What you will do

• Review and validate international submission orders, routing, destinations, system setup, and shipping holds before release.
• Own Temporary Import Bond compliance and monitor customs requirements, documentation, shipment status, and port accuracy.
• Establish and manage global broker partnerships and coordinate with U.S. customs brokers and FedEx to resolve customs holds.
• Audit active submissions, produce exception reports, escalate issues within a 48-hour SLA, and monitor turnaround times.
• Coordinate status updates and resolution paths across U.S., China, Hong Kong, and other international logistics teams.
• Partner with Operations, IT, Shipping, Receiving, and Grading to automate routing checks and improve international logistics procedures.

Requirements

• 7–10+ years of experience in international logistics, supply chain, or shipping operations.
• Working knowledge of customs processes, commercial invoices, and international shipping documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex, multi-step workflows in high-volume environments.
• Experience tracking, auditing, and resolving shipment exceptions.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.
• Must be able to work legally in the United States; hirify.global uses E-Verify to validate work authorization.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of experience managing TIB shipments or bonded logistics processes.
• Familiarity with warehouse management and order management systems.
• Experience supporting Asia Pacific logistics flows.
• Background in operational compliance or process improvement.
